Nah... The Daily Show carries more of a leftward slant than you give it credit for, Hostile. They'll poke at everyone, but generally it's a poke in the eye when the right messes up and a poke in the belly when the left is in a similar situation. The Daily Show does, however, acknowledge that they ar...

Fusion is extra-badass against the Dragon boss. You can shoot basically anywhere in the Dragon's general direction, and the Fusion bolts will pass through the body, almost always scoring hits on the vulnerable center. You can get the same effect with the Hellion later on too, though you really shoul...

The problem with cloning is that the clone will never be as good as the original. You know, I really hate to have to ask this, but I must... Are you basing that on science or Star Trek? If science, please cite your source, as I would love to read it. I'm certainly no biologist, but I'll muddle thro...

Trying to sum up one's political ideology into a few soundbytes (or in this case, a forum post) is a major fallacy in modern democracies. You cannot effectively present a position, an explanation, and a plan to impliment said position in a political commercial or short/average-sized forum post. With...

Do you really think they'd act on it? Sorry for the late reply, but yes, I think that given adequate proof of a threat and a different diplomatic attitude (see below), Europe would act. In case you hadn't noticed, telling the UN and EU that we don't need them and are perfectly willing to act withou...

How many guys are ACTIVELY searching for osama right now? How many are busy policing Iraq? Last figure I heard was in an ABC report, and it rang to the tune of 135,000 troops in Iraq, and 15,000 still in Afgahnistan. I brought the point of logistics up in the previous thread about Iran, and Woodchi...

I was looking up articles on NTFS a while back, and I seem to recall that maximum drive space is a function of the file allocation table, not the OS. FAT32 tops out at something like 128GB, while NTFS goes all the way up to 10+TB. You can do a quick search on Microsoft's website for NTFS if you want...

...wanted the U.S. to put water out in the desert so the poor illegals wouldn't die from thirst? If you put a few on the American side of the border, you've got the flies-to-honey effect. Kyouryuu has a good point that if the game is going to have mass appeal to the FPS audience, WADS+mouse will be an essential control scheme. Of course, if the game is going to retain much of a Descenter-following, the option to use a joystick has to remain. I believe it was Krom (and I don't feel li...

I never could stand Instareap... Something tells me that this was triggered by a bit that appeared on Countdown last night. Keith Olberman (Countdown's host) hinted at some in...

Might I suggest the gauntlets going on the lower hands and the weapon and shield in the upper hands? It seems like an overhead swing with that axe (or blocking an overhead swing from someone else) might be a tad difficult. I'm pretty liberal, and I've no real interest in seeing Fahrenheit 9/11 (not that any cinema in East Tennessee is going to show it anyway). Even from the advertising, it's quite apparent that a number of Moore's criticisms rely on half-truths and political spin-doctoring. Just because Moore admits t...

Actually, Comcast was bought out by Viacomm, I believe. Certain Viacomm channels that were once pay channels (Disney Channel comes to mind) are being added to the basic cable lineup, while I'm guessing some of the competition is pulling out. Likewise, in my area at least, several satelite providers ...

Text Size Bug
Two closely related bugs, really... First off, most of the text in posts and the forum indices does not conform to the browser size settings. I've always had it set to "smaller" since quite a few websites I browse, including the DBB, use an absurdly huge font size. Just to be sure the font...

Because of the nature of fusion, you really have to consider that it is the volume decreasing in direct proportion to time, and the radius change is a secondary effect. That said, I crunched some of the numbers given in this thread, using a couple of dates gotten from the geological timeline in Nati...
