Yeah, but it takes a person to do that. You have to pay this person. Then you have to take this person away from other work, that is probably going to make you money, and have them work on PXO, which isn't making anyone any money. It costs money to run PXO. It costs someone's time. I realize that so...

Volition is not lying. Well, I'm not sure I buy the server is damaged thing, but don't really expect PXO to come back. V has not had the resources to manage PXO in a long time. We pretty much just made sure it was up, and that was it.

I actually would like to see PXO released to the public - I see no reason not too, if it's just going to close. It would take some programmer work (they'd have to strip out obvious security issues), but probably not a lot. Then again, I'm not too familiar with the PXO source code, so what do I know....

I'm sure you guys don't know me, but I used to babysit PXO over at Volition, among other things. PXO was actually the lowest-priority job function I held :) There's actually 2 machines involved in PXO. Maybe even 3 - I think the IRC client(s) ran on a different machine than the user and game tracker...
