Alright KB. Let me try to explain this. Please make sure you READ IT, I know that isn't normal method for you, so I am making a special request. My original post was really timid, imho. But no one will know, will they? Because it's gone now. That's how you operate. Now... here is where the unrest ...

Unless your very good with Linux its diffacult to set up where it is stable. Basicly your running an OS within an OS so a high end machine would be needed to run D3 right also. I have seen the issue with the leveals though, %50 or so of the multi player levels dont work at all. I guess its a matter ...

although this is not 'quite' the same thing, it is a little on the similar side. when i was still in high school there was this kid (who, to be honest had perviously slept with my girlfriend at the time, well before she and i went out, but i already 'disliked' him) who was known as a 'thug' and a ...

lothar: as always, you have a point (or several of them). i'm just frustrated. i think a lot of what i have written has been misunderstood, for obvious reasons. there is a lot of frustration behind the posts. i think that there is alot a lot of unneeded puffing too. im a fairly laid back guy, there ...

As for the "inner circle": most of us who wield significant power here don't do so because we have access to a big red button behind the scenes. We do so because we're good at convincing people to do things differently. I went for about 2 years without admin or mod powers (the "ghost admin" tag was ...

Re: linux: cedega OR Loki?
Hi, hope that I post this one in the right forum: I used to play Descent 2&3 a few years ago on a Win98 system. I switched to Linux shortly after (and didn't play any games since then). Now I would really like to play D3 again. What would you recommend: installing the Windows version under Cedega ...

Actually I am working on a way to make it easier for people to join/play games it's just going to take a bit longer than I had hoped for. We don't need to be involved in excessive drama every time there's a disagreement between two people here. it's not between two people... it's an open forum. an open topic was closed for no reason, other than the whim of a gung-ho moderator. the thread did not visibly break any rules, and did not ...

i have been noticing that from time to time when i come back, threads, which have already been read, and were, upon refresh, no longer giving me the spinning energy icon, are showing up later as unread, even if there aren't any new posts, or even when i was the last one to post in that thread. i ...
