I still have my Sidewinder and it works great. If you dont want to use a sidewider though, there is a decent stick out from Logitech called teh Xtreme 3D Pro. It works in a pinch as a good replacement.

Im not sure I could handle a D3 game, was never a fan thought it was a franchise killer, but I am always game for some D1/D2!
