Force Feedback
Thanks Grendel for the very cogent explanation. I guess the best solution might be to try one of my old sound cards which worked with the FF in other computers and see what I can do. I had fun building your interface, but I actually have a USB Sidewinder, which is without FF and behaves essentially ...

XP Drivers for Sidewinder FF Pro don't give FF
I built the current circuit for my FF Pro using the teensy board and it appears to work perfectly except for one thing -- there is no Force Feedback. I suspect that it is a driver issue since the calibration function in XP works. The game I have been using to experiment with is MS Combat Flight Sim ...

I notice from your photos that the ground pin on the teensy is connected to a floating connector strip on the schmartboard. It also appears that one of the caps is also connected to a floating strip. Is these two grounds deliberately floated, or is there something on the other side of the board that ...

Schematic
Thanks for the quick reply. The circuit diagram and the photos should make this a quick build. I might even try to get a copy of \"Descent\"

A little help please --
I stumbled upon this site while looking for a method to make my Sidewinder FF Pro work again. I am impressed by the clever design, but for the life of me I can't seem to find the link to a schematic. I think I will build the unit as shown in the pictures above and hope to have the piece parts soon ...
