Thanks for the reply sdfgeoff, right now I've settled on a mouse and keyboard config. After some time playing joystick I found the mouse to be more precise for at me at least.

Thanks for all the help guys! Glowhyena, that's actually the exact config I started with when I got back into the game a few days ago. In the spirit of getting back into the game, I thought I'd try and optimize my config. Seems like a lot of you guys do well with a KB+mouse config. I've been having trouble incorporating rolling into my descent gameplay.
