I might have to go if Cops will be there. Nice to know there will be someone there who can take care of my empty wine bottles.

SHADDUP!!

i have a very narrow attention span, yes seriously, i do have a problem with being able to focus on multiple things when my attention is focused on one particular thing. sometimes i even get to the point where it takes a very large event just to get my attention away from the first time.

one time it got to the point, i was reading a very good book at my parents place.....my father was alittle tipsy-topsy on bacardi....and was fooling with the shotgun in the closet........

he had a Accidental Discharge............ i never heard it! and he was less than 20 feet away from me in the other room.

when i have things to do and i get focused on one thing.........

lets just say i forget alot of stuff

Wow... So did we pretty much decide this was out of the question? I'd be all over it. $50? $100? As long as I can get a room cheap I'd be there. I've got a reliable ride, too, so there'd be no doubt I'd be there (probably even be up for a road-trip type occurrence if I had a few weeks notice). I haven't played but for 2 days since the last LAN (August 13th-15th last year). Even though, I'm sure I could come to the LAN and still play as suckily as I did last year.

I think its too late given that people need to know when the event takes place in advance because of vacation/work. At this point I think we should plan for winter break. Yea its the holiday season but im sure some of us want to get away from nutty relatives.

Lets shoot some dates. I think the weekend after New Years. Before the holidays it will always be hectic so its not a good idea, same goes for in between Christmas and New Years. I know that I said I would find a venue but I never had much time while balancing 2 jobs and college. It would be nice if other people from the Chicagoland community would help out and just find us a cheap place rather than relying on someone else to do the job.

Nah.

I'm sorry, we're beating a dead horse here. There's not going to be a ChicagoLAN this year for the reasons mentioned earlier in the post.

We may do a small invitational LAN at the end of the summer for locals and good friends.

I dont want to get anyone's hopes up or mislead anyone. Therefore, thread closed.
