Dare I choose to cross the oceanâ??s breadth?
To see the time and place lost long ago?
Or view the visage of her ladyâ??s depth?
The sea where all of timeâ??s waters do flow
But now I linger, biding falling sands
With chafing timeâ??s abrading loneliness
My mortal coil is slipping through my hands
Like trying to cup water in a fist
So do I dare traverse the waters blue?
Or do I stay in solitude instead?
I am a captain without ship or crew
But through usurping waves I still shall tread
By my own strength Iâ??ll paddle through the lies
For idle thoughts will doom me to capsize
