This forum is something i should have found along time ago cuz i could actually talk about descent all day... the sad thing is most people i know havenâ??t even heard of the game... f*$&ers..

Descent to has always been THE game for me and my family. Not that we all sit around talking about descent every relative has played it. Some of us are crazy about it. I cant find a game that allows you to move and attack with such action in any other game.

..I have mused before that some of us are just genetically predisposed to want/need/be-addicted-to 6DoF fed to our visual cortex with modern technological ways, EVERY Day ! ... and to blow up real good, many times a day !

Descent is great, amazing, and my true game. But this board is great because of the people that frequent it.

Descent is just what brought us together. Ironically, 1/2 the people on this board probably don't play the game anymore.

Welcome to the forum, Isaac. 'Tis funny. Today, I was talking to a girl I work with (at Home Depot), and she was telling me that the only game she's ever played online was Descent, and that HER family all plays Descent still (mainly Descent two, at that.) I told her that it was too bad I didn't know her sooner, because I was wishing I had someone to drive with up to the Chicago LAN last August.... I wish there there was going to be another Chi-LAN, or better yet a KC or St. Louis LAN. Too bad it will never happen, because as the rest of this forum has stated, noone actually PLAYS Descent any more. I'd be AMAZED if even 25% of the people that post here still play (regularly or semi-regularly). If they do, it's definitely not Descent 3 (the one I used to play).
