I'm the 'n00b'.

AKA "Canceler" (PD).

This seems the only place I can currently post about Descent, seeing as my password has been unkown for nearly two months now....

I have a funny feeling about this board however, because although it may be simply a Cafe, that doesn't nullify the fact that it's still part of PTMC

Uhnmm...no. Place your hand in front of you as if you are Hitler about to march with an army. Now figure out which axis is the Z-axis (that would be the one from your wrist to fingertips

) and wiggle your hand left and right along this axis as if you were spinning a hotdog on a stick.

Convention dictates that the Z-axis is up and down. So you'd be rotating your hand while holding it up in the air?

Z axis is foreword and back. So you'd be hitting your monitor with your fingertips

I think you mean the X axis.

I said 'wiggle', not 'slide'

'Wiggle' meaning "tilt back and forth rapidly".

e.g., How does a wheel turn on an axis? How does a hotdog twirl on the stick (axis)? That's what I'm saying!

Also, you're forgetting one thing: if you do understand what picture I'm trying to get across, then saying that 'wiggling' the hand along the z-axis would mean bashing it into the monitor, using the x-axis wouldn't get the right affect either--you'd be moving your hand left to right and back over and over
