I just happened to catch this thing live. I may not know a lot about flying, but I think it's safe to say that this guy has balls.

private pilots almost always cut their props to prevent them from causing any unwanted rolling or pitching while the plane is skidding on the ground
probably there were alot of sparks, we just couldnt see them.
unlike the jetblue incident, that plane was doing at least 170 MPH and weighed in at what........ couple 100 tons?
that little bonanza weighs in at a mere couple tons and was probabaly doing a easy 80-100 MPH.
just an observation..

Err. Since when have aeroplane parts been made out of steel? Jebus - think about it! Undercarriages are made from aluminium alloy so they can't make sparks. There will be some steel components in them, like axles, mounting brackets and a few sundry bits and pieces, but nothing ferrous to speak of.AceCombat wrote:...probably there were alot of sparks, we just couldnt see them.woodchip wrote:Amazing. Think bullets make sparks when they hit things too? LMFAO.

Maybe if you had looked within a day of me posting it, you would have seen it.Lobber wrote:Page you've linked to has alot of stories, not one of them is a link to the video in question though.
For any you missed it, here's the video, plus an interview with one of the passengers, from a local news station. I've edited my first post accordingly.
