Ok so I don't have D3, but I've made about three models of robots for it over the period of a couple months... Here's the latest model:

Nice. You got a skin in the works for that? It'd really shine with some hefty skin detail.

BTW, all of your poll options are negative. How does one say it's nice? O_o

Well I'm making these models with MilkShape 3D which means there's not realy any easy way to texture this...I either have to select different faces and turn them into separate groups for texturing at different angles, or find a UV mapping plugin for this o_O

These are nice, if you could bevel your edges they would be even nicer :) Not sure if milkshape has that modeling tool, but check into it

Do you mean "Smooth Shaded"? Well i don't use that for one reason: MS3D Sucks at displaying in that mode :P The shading is messed up becuase it tends to consider cubes, and extrudes entirely different types of shades, and that goes for the sides of a cylender and ends of it as well, such as the body here:

The reason the smoothing sucks is because it looks like you used the default smoothing groups.
There's tons of help on the Milkshape forums
