I bought a ATI 9600 AIW 2006 Edition for my wife and before we open it I'd like to know if anyone has this card or the 9600 Pro and plays games? just want to know if it's worth it. The card MUST be AGP.
She plays games like \"the Sims, NeverWinter Nights, etc\".

Well, returned the card and bought the ATI X850 Pro instead. She's more happy now and it only cost $50 more.

I have installed a few 9600 Pros - they work well.

Good idea, the X850 will destroy any 9600 variant.

Yeah, the X850 is a new generation compared to the 9600 and only like $50 more.

the 9600 pro was a good card.
the x850 will do nicely, crank up the AA and ansio, the card can handle it for those old games.

It makes more sense to get a seperate TV Tuner anyhow, since it's easier to upgrade seperated components.
