Wow ! What do you know, Apple opens the Intel based Macs for Windows. Smart move.

Something MS should learn.

In short, it creates a CD with all the required drivers to install XP, and also lets user resize their mac os partitions.

This move makes sense to me, it should be quite easy for Apple to get Windows to run on a Mac then it would be to get Mac OS to run on just any PC. The hardware is far more tightly controlled on a Mac so it is easy to get all the drivers you need together to make it work.

Now if Apple started making a version of OSX that runs on any Athlon/P3 and up PC...

We will have to see. I think that Apple will actually never release Mac OS for any standard PC (or at least for a very long time). I say this because Apple originally said that they would not support it in the slightest but the wouldn't stop the user from trying to run Windows on a Mac. But on the other hand, Apple is currently saying that it is illegal to put Mac OS on a non Apple computer through an End User Agreement or something like that.

This is definately a better idea than the \"Power Mac\".
