What a pain to tune!
Pat Metheney's a really good player and composer, he's always able to find a way to rip it up without sounding like the song was just something for him to walk all over. It's always melody first with him, a high music to wank off ratio.

My band is playing a part of his album \"The Way Up\" in our next concert. A lot different, of course, especially since we don't have nearly enough instrumentation to go around, but it still sounds pretty good. I'll have to record it and post it here.
