An anteater looks like a cool pet!
If you have had one, what's it like? Are they crazy and hard to control? or are they kinda like ferrets or something where they just run away from you when you try to play with them?... and smell. And what dose their poop look like since all they eat is ants?! Is it like a ball of 1000 dead mushy bugs? These are things i need to know.

Just don't drink the water they swim in. You might swallow more than water.Floyd wrote:go in the zoo and ask the wardens.
oh, before you ask, whales are better than octopuses, because they don't evade their tank that easily

Gosh. Now think about the joke about the Texan in Hawaii in VonVulcan's thread ...Kilarin wrote:Come on up to Ft. Worth. We have one of the best zoos on the planet!
I've been googling for the best zoos of the world, and so far have come across Atlanta, Singapore, Sao Paolo, San Diego. The Wilhelma of Stuttgart, Germany has about 10.000 animals and 5000 plants, and world famous ape facility and aquarium ... it's pretty close to me, about 50 miles. Then there is Hagenbeck's animal park in Hamburg, Germany, with about 2.500 animals, dubbed 'most beautiful European animal park'.
A nice article about zoos by a 'zoo buff': http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.h ... A964948260

Guilty as charged.Diedel wrote:Now think about the joke about the Texan in Hawaii in VonVulcan's thread
BUT, in this case, it's not ALL braggadocio:
The Zoo has been ranked as a top zoo in the nation by Family Life magazine, the Los Angeles Times and USA Today, and as one of the top zoos in the South by Southern Living Reader's Choice Awards.
But annual memberships are cheap, and then you can visit all you want!Isaac wrote:10.50 per adult. no wonder they can buy real animals.

Isaac, have you tried the Austin Nature and Science Center? I haven't been in a while, but I recall them having a lot of wildlife.
