Very nice video. Thanks for using Bahagad Outbreak in your promotions. (although you do need to get playing Lost Levels! ) As for the movie itself, nice display of a bunch of D2XL features, even if the shadow portion probably wasn't the fullest demonstration of what shadows can do. They looked less then spectacular with the arena you chose to capture, but everything else was great.
BTW, what program did you use to make that? I'm always interested in knowing about editing progs.
I could have done the shadows using Warp Labs, but I like that arena pretty much - and it's a standard D2 level.
I used FRAPS for screen capturing and Windows Moviemaker for creating the movie. That's good enough for me (though Moviemaker has a nasty habit of not moving text messages in time if you insert or delete video clips ... )

ROFL!
karx11erx is my new alias. Diedel is pretty old, but as I registered on the DBB.net ages ago, I am rather known as Diedel than as karx11erx to the better part of the Descent community.
Unfortunately, the quality of the Youtube video sucks, as it got compressed and sized down by Youtube.
Btw, I will upload a slightly longer version of the video tonight. Improved the end (outdoor level) sequence a little.

The clip is not perfect. Actually a lot of things turned out well totally accidentally, like the start of the video, with the move forward between the two text messages. But I have learned a lot while creating it.

If possible try to save it as a higher quality DivX Avi and keep it slightly under 100 megs. I did this with Kuman's 99 art gallery video and a good amount of the quality stayed.
I have no tools to create divx videos and cut them and put music into them. If someone knows a good free tool like Windows Moviemaker that can do such things, tell me.

Not quite, they filed with the SEC to attempt to gain the capital to publish an MMORPG. They still have a massive debt liability, even post-Chapter 11, to worry about, and they're hoping a Fallout MMORPG will spur enough interest that they can at least pay off what they still owe.
