Dude, you need psychological help. Seriously. Especially after you posted that nasty ass comic (which I'm quite amazed remains open and post un-edited given the content).Isaac wrote:so if she needed tampons did she just... like cram leaves up there... or just let it drip or... ... never mind..

You seem to be changing Isaac.Isaac wrote:so if she needed tampons did she just... like cram leaves up there... or just let it drip or... ... never mind..
Bee
I think this speaks to the vitality and ingenuity of people in general. She had no one to feed her, offer her shelter, etc; much unlike the American homeless. This woman actually lived in the wilderness, where there are much more dangers, and the stakes are alot higher.
Democrats and the homeless could sure learn a lesson from her.

I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on disk somewhere.
I agree with Beowulf on Issac's question, though it could have been phrased a bit better . I read about this wild woman the other day and the thought did cross my mind on how she lived through that. Any young woman who goes through menstration and not know anything about it would probably freak out the first several times.
Then again, she probably knew about it from the village life with other women.
That is amazing that someone can survive in the jungle like that. I bet she just ran away from home

For the uninitiated, I was referring to this thread (which is obviously against the guidelines for the Cafe given the content that clearly would belong in the NHB).Isaac wrote:Unless i do something wrong, don't talk to me.

Only that people can survive on that level doesn't mean they ought to. It's all about civilization, you know, and that has something to do with being and behaving civilized.Duper wrote:BINGO!!

Oh, I agree! but I think that congruently, the point that CCB is making is that we are SO MUCH more capable than that which we've allowed ourselves to become as a society.Diedel wrote:Only that people can survive on that level doesn't mean they ought to. While some of the homeless actaully CHOOSE to be that way, many do not. Many are mentally ill. The exact reasons are endless and vary from person to person. The Democratic party, in many respects, has perpetuated public dependancy..... gah.. break is over. This has been hashed over before in E&C several times.

This has happened before but for 18 years. I'll try to find something.Lobber wrote:i just find it amazing that a child can survive for that long growing up. will power to live is amazing, the jungle book story comes to mind, just never thought a real life version would really happen
TO OTHERS:
IF you have something to say to me please respect this thread (stay on topic) and go to No Holds Barred: Flame war! Say what ever you want to me and i'll have fun saying whatever back to you!! Fun fun.
Actually Lobber, a child was found living in the jungle (found in his early teens)around the turn of the last century. That was the insperation of Mougly (?) the book: Jungle Book
So this does happen from time to time. One of the curious things they found about this boy was that a gunshot didn't startle him or cause him to jump, the cracking of a nut did.

Either way, that is just amazing... I would of eaten the poison berries or something in 17 years.
