I always wanted to build all of the descent robots. And now, about a week ago, I started it.
Veeeeery slowly... But I still do it. Only one job is ready now, The ,,class 2 supervisor’’
I made it from wood. It’s almost 10 cm long, and it’s a 1:1 scale model (accoirdig to the screen). The eye is not perfect, but if I have time I will fix it. Probably...
Yes I know... Its not the best model of the world, But this is my first job, and this gonna be better, and better... Here are the pictures...

After, the Supervisor was ready, I started the medium lifter. It’s almost ready, but it’s not ,,textured’’. But I will finish it soon. Check out this two pictures:

The fit and finish isn't all that great; but you do have the skills to physically build it with it's geometry/etc. It looks like the medium you're using isn't too good. Find a medium that you're comfortable with and can make look really nice, and you will go far!

Suggestion: You said you used wood? It looks like the wood is covered with paper, colored with crayon. You should make it completely out of wood, sand it perfectly, then paint and clear coat it. I can see it now...awesome!

Yes, I covered it with paper, but I will do it next time with paint (which is more complicated and harder).

If you're making them out of wood, I think they deserve to be finished off with a good sanding and paint. You can do it! 8)

you should get an airbrush kit and texture it with that.

they arent expensive, either. i got a small one for touchup jobs today for about $5.

I was about to curse you out for crappy 3D modelling and texturing, but then I realized it was wood, paper and paint, and not 3dsmax & photoshop.

In that case, good so far :)

I haven’t got any paint at home, and I didn’t wanted to buy it today, so I put it the lifter for a while, and I started an another bot, the Omega defense spawn. Actually, I started it for a long time ago, (before the supervisor, but it not finished yet.) so it’s textured with paper!
I will change the paper to paint!

Sorry, but I make only Descent 1, 2 robot’s. (yet). The Descent 3 have a very difficult robot collection, not to mention the textures!!! :o But the Descent 2 guide bot is almost the same, so if you want to, I will upload the plan, but I don’t know when...

I STILL HAVEN’T GOT PAINT!!! And for that, I started an another bot. It’s time to start a big one, so I started the fire boss! It’s made of paper, but the right shooter is from wood.
(in the front of the boss, you can see the omega, and the lifter. Now you can see the size differences.) It’s really big, and heavy! It’s amost 52 cm wide. I think Im going crazy when I start it to paint!!!

The paint is harder than I thought, so I stayed on the paper texture. Actually, it's more beautiest like the paint (If I make it good), because its 99.9% same. Yes, on the supervisor, the texture is bad. ((((first job))))

Is that Guidebot meant ot be print out on multiple sheets? or just one? It seems to me that he'll end up being rather small...

I Think I know what's your problem. I changed the color in the ''back,,. The red color is on the other piece. I think now you know how to make it. But here is a picture. (Now you see the wrong color. You can change the color easyli in photoshop or paint). SORRY... It was my fault.
:( :( :(

And can I have a question? Why do you like the GB sooooooooo much?

I don't think they exist in hi-res. Nothing is in hi-res for any of the descents until they are indeed created. :\\ There are a couple of folks in the community that are making new hi-res textures.
One is working with the D2x_XL project and there is Novacron on the PD BB that has been making some as time allows.

Really Nice work here. I am impressed. Are you intending on sharing the plans?

I would like to mirror all this fine work on KoolBear.com.

Grendel yours too :) OOP's that was Hans de Vries RC Pyro I was talking about.

Neat! Very nice work, dude.

Just a hint for the fire boss (and other bots): The missile ports are round. If you make the models from wood, you could use a circular saw for that. From paper or card board, you could use a circle with two metal tips.
