For me, I remember the GOOD shows that I watch when I was a kid:

I think I watched just about everything posted so far. In addition, though, my mom and I loved watching M.A.S.H. together. Some episodes were actually a bit funny.

I also got up early on Saturday mornings to watch Battletech when they started airing them. I actually bought the Dungeons & Dragons DVD and went back and watched some of the episodes.. it's not as good as I remember it. ;p

And G-Force (in it's original Saturday morning format and version) was my all-time fav.

Shows I used to watch a lot...

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

- Batman: The Animated Series. Still one of the best cartoons ever made in terms of, well, everything. I love the art deco, anachronistic art style. It puts the jumpy X-Men and Spider-Man animation to shame.

- Looney Tunes. I can't believe they don't show these anymore. Screw political correctness. Screw you, Ted Turner, for buying them up. Generations of Americans grew up with these and we're all fine, right? Right?

- Inspector Gadget. It was probably my most watched cartoon. It's so formulaic and goofy, but it's a good formula. Live action movie, not so much.

- C.O.P.S. It still looks pretty nice 20 years later, the anime-like art style was a bit ahead of its time on US airwaves.

- Dinosaucers. I blame them for making me a furry, even though I think this cartoon is incredibly stupid today. We need more cartoons with dinosaurs, though. Every kid loves dinosaurs.

- All of those Mario cartoons, not so much Zelda or Captain N, actually. And not so much the singing that caused my ears to bleed. Egad.

- Most of the original Nicktoons before the line became synonymous with Spongebob Squarepants and crappy low-budget animation. Doug, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy.

- Anything on the Disney Afternoon. Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, and so on. Back during the second coming of Disney when they had incredible production values. Aww, Disney. Why'd you have to blow it all sky high?

- Anything Warner Bros. did. Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Freakazoid. Man, Freakazoid... they sure bent the rules on that one. Although I think WB's ideas are trite at best today (Loonatics Unleashed?), they still have top notch production value when everyone else seems content with stilted anime or sloppy let's-not-color-within-the-lines Ren and Stimpy animation.

- Anything on Nick at Nite before it delved off into Normal Lear sitcoms and the 90s. I think I scare people when I make some reference to the Mary Tyler Moore show and wonder why I even know what it was - it doesn't change the fact that Get Smart was brilliant. Brilliant, I tell you, Lucy! Ba-ba-looo!

Also, if you like the simple good versus evil inanity of 80s cartoons, keep an eye on the artistic side project I'm working on right now.

I only watched Looney Tunes as a kid. The rest was too childish, and flat-out boring. (Yes I was 8 when I said that.)

That said, when was, what, 18?...I found that Fraggle Rock was simply hysterical after a joint. But that was a rarety because TV is such a waste of time, I had better things to do.
