considering how long we're been waiting for TF2, i am amazed that this game looks so simple like a cartoon.

they started working on TF2 after Quake ONE! that's right ONE. Teamfortress 1 was out on Quake 1, and then they said they were working on TF2.... waiting... waiting.... waiting...
over a decade later here we have it, and the graphics style is so simple it would run easily on Quake1.

Yeah, I know about that great game. I want it, but I need to get a faster CPU. I don't know what name of top-faster gaming AMD.

If you check out the TF2 commentary, you'll learn the many reasons they settled on this visual style. Aside from allowing them to do hilarious laugh-out-loud animations (I swear, the way the Scout books around the level swinging the billy club is priceless), it certainly makes TF2 stand out from the barrage of dull, desaturated Gears of War-inspired games.

For me, TF2 has an extremely clean visual style where everything contrasts well and is easy to see. It's much easier to see an enemy character when he isn't a bumpy, normal mapped object running in front of bumpy, normal mapped walls.

This game is a prime example of how the value of a game is not directly proportional to it's graphics.

Let me say how fun this game is. It's about all I play now... anyone who haven't tried it yet needs to get on it stat.

This game is stupid fun.

I personally love the graphics in the game; the fact that it is somewhat cartoonish does not take away from the quality of the visuals at all.

If you like squad-based shooters and aren't stuck on having something comparable to the Battlefield series, this is what you should be playing.

Yup, I play quite a bit of TF2 for quick jaunts of fun. My Steam ID is... well... you won't have any problem finding me. ;p
