GOG to Sell Classic Games Online like DESCENT 1-3

Post by Trackball »

Black Isle Studios' post-apocalyptic RPGs Fallout and Fallout 2 will be among the many long-lost PC titles soon re-released by Good Old Games, a new online venture from The Witcher (PC) developer CD Projekt.

\"Our main goal is to try and deliver the best games of all time for PC,\" marketing VP Tom Ohle explained to Shacknews.

The site will initially carry titles from publishers Interplay and Codemasters, including the previously-mentioned Fallout series, MDK 1 and 2, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Freespace 1 and 2, Sacrifice, Descent 1-3 and Kingpin: Life of Crime.
Epic?

Thanks! :)

Signed up for the Beta. I'd love to have a cheap copy of Freespace 2.

So they are pulling the Starforce copy protection out of all the codemasters games. I already own a few and do not install them anymore just for that one reason. do i get to download for free the updated non-starforced version?

Interesting news. I presume it doesn't mean they intend to do anything about the compatibility issues though.

I signed up for this beta last night as well. It sounds pretty cool to me. And they do state that the games will be compatible with XP and Vista.
