Setting up a computer for a friend who was using MS Office 2003. They no longer have the disk.
I've tried to associate the \"doc\" files to open in Works but no go.
Any ideas. And oh yes, I need more than a viewer.

That may be the best bet; Wordpad can ... up to a certain point open .doc files. In Win7 it seems to be docx only though.
