zombie novel?

Post by Isaac »

Does anyone know of a good modern-day zombie novel? I've read a few books with \"zombie masters\" in wizardy-style books, but I was wondering if any of you have read anything good that takes place in a more modern day setting. Something with zombies, not to be confused with frkin vampires, chasing the protagonist through city streets, subways, and buildings. I love zombie movies, even the bad ones (especially the bad ones! :p), because of how the main characters try to outsmart the mindless horde of undead.

edit:
Anything here you'd recommend? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_zombie_novels

This one is quite entertaining, esp. if you know the original.

I've heard that World War Z is good.

And yes Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies is good too.

I found another one recently: Night of the Living Trekkies.
I finished it in less than half a day (I had nothing else to do).

I JUST started reading the first Tarzan book, but I'm enjoying it so much I'll be done with it soon. I'll have to pick one of these up.

I read that one prolly 30 something years ago. Mr. Burroughs, nay, Sir Burroughs, ROX!
It's never good to wake up in the shrubs naked, you either got way too drunk, or your azz is a werewolf.

Never have I gotten hooked on a book in the first chapter, until Tarzan.
