eMachine???

Post by thewolfe »

A friend's son wants to buy her an eMachine. She only looks at e-mail and not much else.

I forgot they even made them anymore. eMachine or not to eMachine, that is the question.

The question is how crappy of a machine do you want to have to support if they end up calling you for help on it.

This is a 70 year old lady and I was going to suggest a $400-$500 Dell but her son said she doesn't need something that good and suggested an eMachine which I haven't even heard of for years.

Anyway I am staying out of it and letting the chips fall where they may.

And a question...is there an "uncrappy" eMachine?

I'd say go with a more reputable brand.
