No, but had they a right to the land (they gave it away or sold it, largely, I believe), and had managed to take it back, I think the situation would be closer.

Off-topic, I had someone make a very interesting comment the other day about Indians. They said that before the white men came the Indians would kill other tribes and and take their goods and land, but when the white man did it it somehow became unconscionable down through the years.

Then ponder about how this guy in 17th century BC, goes around and tells everybody that The Lord God is ONE and this God has given him this land for him and his ancestors. Then watch them lose that land because of famine, only 2 come back some 400 years later to resettle that same land. Only this time with a fully functional government. Then watch that people lose their land several times over the ages, only to be sitting on it again this very day. Possession is 9/10's the law, what are are arguing about anyways?

I think we're arguing about removing, wholesale, the residents of that land. Residents who had built farms and homes on that land, and giving them squat in return. I think were talking about grabbing all the available potable water sources and running roughshod over the civil rights of everyone outside a very narrow religious group(including occupying people's homes without any compensation or warning, mass jailings and other deprivations). I think we're arguing that the folks so uprooted and mistreated might have a right to be pissed off, as would be the neighboring countries to whom they were dumped.

No, I think we're talking about a displaced people that NOBODY wanted when the lines were drawn most recently. I think we're talking about the eventual inclusion of the Palestinian people. I think we're talking about everytime Israel made a goodwill and benevolent gesture towards the Palestines, it was returned with an attack to keep the disruption going, which in turn just creates more and more animosity between the 2. I can't prove god so I can't condone law made to please god. I can go along with intervention by outsiders to stop a war in the pursuit of saving lives but in the case of the middle east you can separate the factions in an attempt to make peace but since they use god as a permission slip to start the foodfight all over again you really can't cause peace, you can only cause an occupation.
