R'ha - Stuff like this is why Lucas sold out!

Post by Gekko71 »

I think I'm gonna be sick! :o :o :o :o     :D :D :D :D    :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Some 22 year old FIRST YEAR film student has just made a 6 minute sci-fi short on his own in Maya and Belnder that blows the living **** out of 90% of the sci-fi content out there - AS A FRIGGIN' ONE-SEMESTER, NO-BUDGET, STUDENT PIECE for cryin' out loud!!

See it for yourself - and remember this is one person's work over six months with no budget:
I used to like memes, but then I was Rick-rolled while taking over 9000 arrows to the knee like a boss from Chuck Norris.

Pretty neat. Isn't this how District 9 got started? Maybe we'll see something like this on the big screen soon. It looks pretty interesting.

Pretty impressive stuff. Like to see what he can do when he graduates.

It's too little to judge a story on, though - the premise seems akin to BSG but with aliens.

Yeah I think so, District 9 was definitely a short film first but I don't know if it was a student piece or not. I'd go see this if it came to the big screen, but I reckon it may end up in cable instead.
