Fresh from the paint booth! (56k beware - big pictures)
Just sold my 1969 Mustang FB. Dammit! I regret it, like I knew I would. I'll have to dig up a couple'a pics and post them before this thread dies. Had a 302 that was bored out to 313, and had the works done to it: decked, cammed, chrome-moly parts, electronic ignition, Edelbrock 650 carb, blahblahblah, took me a month to build the motor. Took me years to get it painted and the interior done. What a ride. Just couldn't afford to have it hauled out to MA, my fols moved and didn't have room for it. Sheeeeeeet.

Ouch, that hurts, I had to fly my sister and her husband out to California to drive my Uhaul (which was also towing my 68 Dan Gourney Special Cougar) so that I could drive mine back. We wound up keeping 5 gallons of gas in the back of the Uhaul so I could get some range out of the car. The Mustang cost as much in gas as the friggin Uhaul!
Protection: Well the garage has a wicked alarm system installed. (Don't ever pick your nose in that place!) And im underinsured for 10k right now, since they require an appraisal for any value above that. As soon as I finish the interior I will get the appraisal and more coverage.

Awesome looking car, Clutch. I hate it when body shops do that. My friend had her '70-something Chevelle in the shop for around 5 years. Don't make sense...

Thanks Zappa!
I believe the car may make it's way into a video or in the album art for Clutch's next release... We took the car to a Clutch show up in Flint Mi. and showed it to the band... the tour manager went nutso with a video camera, and did a 10 minute interview with me about the car. We got lucky and the new custom plates showed up before the show on Saturday, so we were able to get them to sign the front plates. The band LOVED the car, and you would have thought the car was on stage with all of the flashbulbs going off all night!
Anyways... here is the lead singer (Neil Fallon) striking a pose in front of it:

I think Neil is as proud of the car as I am!
One of the coolest points of the night was when I entered the parking lot... I timed it so that I would pull up just before the doors opened. I downshifted just before the turn, with the windows rolled up (tinted so you can't see who's driving) and idled by the crowd.. Needless to say the crowd went wild as I pulled up to a reserved spot right in front of the tour bus and the venu entry. Revved it up a few times, then made a hasty exit from the car so no one could get a good look at who drove it.
Oh, and by the way, they had an armed guard there just for the car and the bike next to it (a west coast chopper). Nobody got within 5 ft of it without permission.
