That would be the prudent move.
I say we should just contract the Yankees.

Until there is a salary cap MLB will continue to be a farce. A championship that can be 'bought' is absolute BS.

well, there are 25 other teams in baseball, they want a salary cap real bad, i'm sure they can find a way to do it..the yankees are just one team and they pay a nasty luxury tax every year that is divided up amongst the teams, so until they stand together for a salary cap, there is nobody to blame. Steinbrenner cares about winning, not about filling his pockets with an extra 5%

We should just outlaw player unions altogether. Remind these jokers that for a while, you were getting paid only slightly higher than "mortal" men.

What's even worse is that the Rams got a good ol' fashioned butt-stomping (31-14) by the winless Dolphins. OUCH!!! Talk about rubbing salt into the gaping wound.

I know the likelihood is small at this point... but can you imagine the irony of the Cards coming back to win it? The entire Red Sox organization would have to spontaneously combust (I know some of the fans would).

Yeah mehyam, thats exactly what i was thinking. we did it... what stops THEM from doing it? o_0
Btw, sarge, you should go ahead and predict that the cards will win tomorrow. When you say things, the exact opposite seems to happen.

Well, the Bosox were down 3-0 and everyone said it was over. You never know...they still have one more win to collect. The curse could still be lingering...just pausing for dramatic effect

It may well be that cosmic forces are coming to the aid of the Red Socks. Tonight will be the first ever lunar eclipse during a world series games.

Plus, it's 18 years to the day since the loss in game 7. If there's a better setup to break a curse, I don't know what it is.

This year's red sox:
1st team to come back from 0-3.
1st team to win 8 postseason games in a row.
How many other records did they break?
Bosox are amazing.

Theres one huge problem with that theory. That being they're only the 3rd team in professional SPORTS to ever do that. The first in a sport that has been around longer then any other american sport.
The chances of another team doing it in the same postseason against the team that just did it for the first time in baseball is.....well, a pipe dream.
There never was a curse to begin with. Even if there was this 04 Redsox team steam rolled it right into the ground.
