What type of food do you like eating?

Post by Sage »

My personal favorite food is Mexican. Oh yea, Burritos and Chimi Changas. But yea American food is pretty decent too. I always like me a good berger. A Mac Donald berger. Oh yeas, and I like Chinese. The Chinese buffet.

So what's kinds of food do you like to favorite?

Oh man all this talk about food is making my tongue hungry!

Marmite = Ack! :P Reminds me of vegemite! Had an Aussie friend who shared a little of that down-under delicacy; it's an acquired taste.

For me:

Asian, Indian, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, (having some baba ganouj and pita as I type...Yum!:)), Italian, and not much beats good-old Amreican steaks, burgers, and Southern fried food! Any of the above + spicy is even better. O yea, Tex-Mex is not good Mexican food, you gotta get the stuff from California, not this watered down salsa and con queso Texas stuff!

More importantly, Chipotle. That place rocks.

Italian food is defiantly a plus since I'm born and raised Italian. Oriental food is defiantly another favorite mind. I'm able to find what I'm looking now ever since the Asian Super Market opened here in Naperville. Seafood is another thing I can't live without. Not to mention Hot & Spicy especially when it comes to Asian, Indian and Mexican foods. As for fast foods that something I only have once in a while.

Chipotle rocks. :D

Most of the time I'm happy with a nice, big, juicy cheeseburger.

Hmm

I like food, preferably well prepared.

As for cuisine types, I'm a big fan of Japanese in it's many varieties.

Chinese is good also, I'm addicted to Pot Stickers.

Mexican...I love me some taqueria food.

Indian, I like mostly, esp nice tandoori chicken.

But the king of all foods is SMOKED FOOD!

:)

Italian... pizza, pasta, sausage, whatever.

Americanized asian food (stir-fry, etc.) -- not the authentic stuff, but the watered down version.

Good ol' American food like steak-and-potatoes, hamburgers, etc.

I also make some pretty good fried potatoes...

Asian (mainly Chinese and Thai), Mexican, and Italian (pasta). For those of you who enjoy Chipotle, I urge you to try Baja Fresh if you have them in your area. I've only been able to eat at Chipotle once since discovering Baja Fresh.

Edit: like Lothar, I mean the Americanized versions of Asian food. I also like anything spicy.

 I haven't had those in years! A little salt, and some ketchup and its heaven on earth! :D

As for my favorite food...I'm on a see-food diet. If its on my plate, and it isn't a snake, worm, or bug, I'll eat it. I'm not that very picky when it comes to food. I really like cajun food though. Nothin' like a good bowl of red beans & rice. :)

Deep-dish pizza with everything, almost any sandwiches, french fries, root beer.

Please, pile up on those carbs. Someone has to make up for all of those abandoned carbohydrates. Poor little things. Come to Zoopie. Get in mah belly!

I'm like the poster rep for Anti-Atkins, I eat pretty much everything, whether it has carbs or not.

As for food preference, well I'll eat ANYTHING. Except for sushi. I kinda have something against most seafood anyway, but RAW seafood...bleh. Apart from that, literally anything. Give me straight-up American (pizza, burgers + fries + the works, etc), Italian, Indian/Nepali, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, Chinese, etc. I'd try anything new too. Asr = open to new stuff. :P

I mean... well, there's real asian food made by real asian people... and then there's McAsian food, like you get at your average mall food court. I don't like the real asian food -- I like the food court variety. The levels of spice are very different.

Cow, taters, north american veggies, pasta, soup. Pizza. No seafood, sprouty bowls of compost, or uber spicy/hot stuff (aka ruined food).

i like anything spiced to hell. doesn't matter where it's from.
but at home we generally cook very good italian, asian, and some indian, if you wanna put a label on it. all from generational recipes, cooked with love (awww). traditional pizza would be a speciality of mine.

strangely i don't like seafood. the smell of sushi makes me nervous (and eating it makes me throwup, VIOLENTLY). i'm ashamed.

All this talk of food drove me to get creative. Just went to the store and blew a suprising sum to make some cheesecake. Unfortuneately I didn't have a few of the spices/ingredients and had to fork out. Eat your heart out guys, we're having my homemade desserts of:

Plain Cheesecake, Pumpkin cheescake with a pecan crust and Bourbon Sour-cream topping, or Almond Cheesecake with amaretto and almond crust. MMmMMMmmmm.... :P I'm gonna be eating cheescake for dessert for the next 2 weeks.

Cheesecake > All other foods. Nothing like a thick hunk of whipped and baked cream cheese to make your evening. :D

Whenever you eat in the holy shrine that is the Cheesecake Factory, give thanks to God for bestowing upon us lowly men the temple of American cuisine.
