I retired from Descent 3 Online a long while back. Had a bunch of aliases just for the heck of it. My alias shall remain anonymous for now. Let just say that I visited daily here for a long long long time.
everyone already knows all my alias', but sure i'll give you a helping hand. Bsides the ZeroCool, and anything related to it. I also use Jin, Legacy, No_Limit, FoKiS, Evolution, and I believe that's it.

619 tags so far.....wow. I added some that I've seen, and some marked (lowlife) that I won't play with.
But, I see a bunch of new tags every night.

Bettina, unless you enjoy collecting that stuff for fun, keeping a list of every alias a pilot has ever used is not going to be helpful to you. For example, you're probably not going to see many of Suncho's again. What would help is just to ask for the main aliases everyone uses. That seems to be what most people are posting anyway. For example, in my case I keep coming back to a dozen or so, even though I type in a new alias at least 80% of the time I play. And of course, there are a lot of people who use a lot of aliases, yet don't visit this board or post often. We have several of those on my team, for example.

That quote is from the Empire Strikes Back, not A New Hope... Yoda didn't appear in the first film.
I think Bettina should start her own ranking server, ranking people according to BigHeadedness or Dancerite Rating or something. Let's have some useful stats like typekill percent, spawnkill rating, camperishness. Also % of AOC per game (accuses others of cheating).

That's a lot of work, but one thing I've found out about bigheads.....Some go out of their way to kill a typer, or spawnkill on purpose to boost their scores.....not all do, but lots. I won't and never will.
Bettina
those arent "bigheads" that go out of the way to typekill, if you're talking about us when you say "bigheads" anyway. none of the elite players in this game give two craps about a typer, if he gets in the way they kill him and if he doesnt then they dont.
Almost, kurupt.. I try to avoid shooting typers down, unless I'm in CTF. Even in CTF, sometimes it's fun to kill a typer's team mate(s) in front of them while they type, but leaving them intact. When I do type-kill in CTF, I'm never going out of my way to do it--usually the guy is in my side/base, or he would pose a decided threat to my team when he's finished talking.
In my opinion a pilot lowers himself when he goes out of his way to type-kill.
I have no theoretical objection to type killing someone, but whether I actually will or not depends on the circumstances and how I'm feeling at the moment. Usually when I play I'm in a "kill 'em all" mood, so if it can fly it dies.
The only one's I get mad about are the blatant one's. Players who see you in a hidden corner, come up nose to nose, wait a second, then fire in your face. Those, , really get me burning.
I can take the one's done by accident, wild shooting, or in battle.
Well, it is "anarchy," not IRC. I mean, think about it, besides the obvious contradiction of insisting that "no rules" means that players can force their rules onto others, what kind of message does it send when you can type at will and expect others to stop shooting at you? I actually get kind of annoyed if I type in-game and people ignore me. It's quite easy just to type something quick, or just wait until your next death. If your comment is so important that all action must stop until you are heard, why are you concerned about dying once anyway? It's just a game.
