Silly woodchip, vote or die only applies to democrats. Your slogan is "vote or pay."

I voted early today for Badnarik!
I walked to my polling place and it took about 15 mins...
http://badnarik.org/ It's not too late to go honest and switch to a real candidate ;-)

Same here. Almost surprised that there was a straight libertarian ticket on the TX ballet. Then again there were more Lib. candidates overall than Dem. candidates.

Alternative candidates are too often overlooked...

...then again, I would never vote for a Libertarian either.

I just moved from Oregon to New York 3 weeks ago. According to the election board in New York, I arrived too close to the election to register to vote. According to the election board in Oregon, since I'm no longer a resident I'm not eligible to vote there. Does anyone have a "DISENFRANCHISED!" pic to post for me?

Hahaha....My Dad's already going ballistic about the republicans doing something with the votes in Ohio.
He's telling our neighbor that Bush is going to steal the election again.....You should hear him.

In my humble and pathetic opinion it is irresponsible to vote for a 3rd party in this election. The system is designed in so many ways as to make 3rd party candidates obsolete-, economically, socially, politically. While I support the platforms of 3rd party cadidates more broadly and enthusiastically than either of the two traditional parties, I feel that the moral and global implications of this election are far beyond the righteousness of "protest' votes.

as much as I'd love a third party candidate to stand a chance, its not going to happen this time.

Can't wait till 08. I'll be able to vote then (whoohoo).

It is always responsible to vote your conscience and your principles.
Any attempt to disparage anothers choice simply because they don't accept the status quo as the only path is illogical and downright...well....french.

Not to mention my state's electoral college votes were safely in the bag of the one of the two who will protect our security best.

It's a win win for me this time, the Bush doctrine continues, I did nothing to enable the snake Kerry to derail it *and* I put my shoulder to the wheel of momentum for the rise of a third party.
My principles and conscience are served because I will continue to vote third party for the rest of my life and know that my childrens future is better off for it both short term and long term.

History will prove me correct.
You may instruct your grandchildren to thank mine for the efforts of their grandfather, they will graciously forgive your family for your failure to see the wisdom of my actions. ;)

Chuckles @ Will :P

Well it is looking like promoting (or mentioning results) exit polls may have to be done away with as being inaccurate and perchance a bit like trying to influence the vote.

Actually, I called the Oregon election board 5 times and on the 5th attempt I got a cooperative/sympathetic worker who sent me an absentee ballot anyway. See how easy election fraud is?

I'm in Ithaca. A little isolated from civilization, but a beautiful area and I did my undergrad here so at least I'm familiar with it. I've got a lot of family and friends in NYC, Philly, Boston, and DC so I guess I'll be making a lot of weekend drives!

Wow. It's reasons like this that we need election reform. While your one vote doesn't really matter all that much, if all it took was 5 phone calls for your little politically insignificant self to cast an illegal vote, imagine what political clout and money can do... :|

[off-topic]Hmm... at this rate I might be able to hold a NY LAN party. If you guys don't mind playing Counter-Strike, that is... :P[/off-topic]

*torn voter*

I ideally wanted to vote for Badnarik, but with the election so close my vote was for Bush, the lesser of two evils.

The Daschle race is extremely tight. The Republican challenger was leading by less than 2,000 votes, but not all precients reported.

So far its projected that Bush is wining Ohio and Florida. As long as he has those 2 battleground states, it does not look good for Kerry, but it aint over yet till the fat lady sings.
