YES, If you don't like the level or the way we (those of us that have played SD since the ol PXO days)play then go back to your own turf. If I hate hotdogs, I don't keep eating them just for the heck of it.... I go get a burger.Testiculese wrote:I find it highly entertaining that all these people are playing the level they dislike the most in order to blow up a newb that doesn't even register on the pilot scale.
(note newb is a factual term, n00b is a derogatory one)

Heh...and this your weakened minds way of giving a clever response? How sad, I pity the fruitless efforts conjured by a feeble-minded, soft-bodied, individual who cannot help but resort to name calling to make up for a lack of intelligence.WarAdvocat wrote:You ever heard the expression "It's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it beyond all doubt"?One of the points being made here is that SD so cripples the pilots who depend upon it's weapons is that they're super easy to kill, even on their home turf.
Your explaination of why SD pilots are "crippled" is muted by your own hands prior fumbling on the keyboard, thereby proving who the real "fool" is....
Now, STHU and let people play how and where they want...and if you kill them, well, hey, everyone's gotta die someday, huh? And if it makes you a better man for killing someone with inferior skills "on their turf", then why complain about where you have to do it??...I'm a kick-boxer/full-contact fighter, and if I have to knock someone out in the street instead of in the ring, I will, but what I won't do afterwards is ask them why they chose to confront me in the street instead of in the ring...one arena is as good as another when it comes to combat. It's all about 'personal preference'.
Geez.....easy now rude boy.Beowulf wrote:The original song was "Head like a hole" by Nine Inch Nails on the album Pretty Hate Machine (track 1, I think)
:p
ahem, being that I am the resident DBB poet, I'll compose a little diddy for Bet...
Ingus got you runnin
Smokin ya like grass
We was inventin Descent
before you could wipe your own ***
And you escape from the scene
Like OJ Simpson in a Bronco
Because you're just another no talent crackhoe
And I don't even believe your a she
You probably have to stand up to take a pee
And look at naked pictures of little children all day
Because your dad molested you and took your childhood away
So now you want to compensate by playing childish games
But after this is over no one'll remember your name
Its the same old story the same old song
You're like the birth control accident that went all wrong
And I don't mean to put your unknown face to shame
Its just that Bettina has just left another game.
Last night, after trick or treating, I got into a game of Rockena and I beat up some "unknown" pretty bad. So, by your post, I believe that might have been you Beowulf. I know it hurts getting owned by a girl, but pretending I was a HE isn't gonna make it better. You'll get over it. Give it time....
Bettina...
P.S. you got one part right me being a birth control accident.
I am kinda curious, why did Beowulf to that little "diddy" for Bet?
I do not know Bet very well, but from what I have seen of the posts she is a lot nicer then many of you. Writing out Poetry out of spite reveals the type of thinking style you have.
Now having said that, I am not trying to start a argument. I was just defending Bet...

As for the rest of your post, I will excuse it as the rantings of an uneducated rookiemax kragen wrote:I'm a kick-boxer/full-contact fighter, and if I have to knock someone out in the street instead of in the ring, I will, but what I won't do afterwards is ask them why they chose to confront me in the street instead of in the ring...one arena is as good as another when it comes to combat.
Heh. Let's just stick with your analogy, Mr. MaxCombat(tm) ... SD is to Descent 3 what a blindfolded machine-gun fight is to kick boxing.
I understand both sides of the argument, btw. I happen to be an unrepentant skybox fan! I happen to agree with the "bigheads" side of both arguments, despite my enjoyment. This took several years, but I see my shortcomings now as a pilot are due to my early training.

hmmm....interesting comparison. Well....er, I um, suppose.., I stand corrected.WarAdvocat wrote:Heh. Let's just stick with your analogy, Mr. MaxCombat(tm) ... SD is to Descent 3 what a blindfolded machine-gun fight is to kick boxing.
However! You got me back wit'cher little dismissal of my post and all so lets call it even, eh? My original rant post was not directed at you (intentionally) and knowing what I do of you, i.e.(how you have helped me when starting this game, things I have heard about you from other players, etc.) I would prefer not to become alienated from you in that manner. So, If need be, please accept my apology and extension of this post as a handshake...
