Ok, this 6+ year old gateway EV910 is really showin it's age. Even with the monitor's brightness all the way up I need to turn up my vid card's brightness a lot for it to look ok.
So, since it's the holidays, I'm gonna ask for a new monitor for xmas.
Only real stipulation is it's gotta be 19"+.
Under $300 would be nice, but under $400 is ok too.

NEC FE991. Haven't used it personally, but I have used NEC monitors since I can remember, always great hardware. Should be cheap now.

I'd take Viewsonic over the Samsung. I have the Samsung 955DF and it pales in comparison to the Viewsonic P95f

can i add my 2 cents?
my trinitron is mysteriously crapping out on me. it is THAT time of year and alot of you guys are quoting ViewSonic and other monitors .......
can someone recommend a monitor to me for the 200-300 range?

Dell makes good 22" trinitrons at 200-250 bucks
i've been using mine for about a year now.. still works as if it was new.
defenetly go with trinitron though.

Mine is a 21 inch Dell, but the tube is Trinitron. They are very good and highly reccomended.

These are based on the Sony Trinitron monitor, which is an excellent monitor.
21" Flatscreen CRT $259
They have dual inputs, too. Look around the site, they have others in different brands, all based on the trinitron with dual inputs.
