Recommend me a monitor

Post by Defender »

Ok, this 6+ year old gateway EV910 is really showin it's age. Even with the monitor's brightness all the way up I need to turn up my vid card's brightness a lot for it to look ok.

So, since it's the holidays, I'm gonna ask for a new monitor for xmas.

Only real stipulation is it's gotta be 19"+.
Under $300 would be nice, but under $400 is ok too.

NEC FE991. Haven't used it personally, but I have used NEC monitors since I can remember, always great hardware. Should be cheap now.

I'd take Viewsonic over the Samsung. I have the Samsung 955DF and it pales in comparison to the Viewsonic P95f

These are based on the Sony Trinitron monitor, which is an excellent monitor.

21" Flatscreen CRT $259

They have dual inputs, too. Look around the site, they have others in different brands, all based on the trinitron with dual inputs.
