I think God put other drivers on the road to test my faith.

I heard someone put a link to an illegal copy of D3 v.1.5.
The Descenters got real mad.
Now that its coming, do we get our sigs back?

You haven't been in New Orleans yet have you?
New Orleans is the last level of your game w/ God.

That was part of it, the other reason was people were abusing the amount of lines they could use as described by the rules and it got to the point where the mods didn't want to bother with it anymore.
Hopefully on the new board we might get them back for a trial run and see if people can obey the rules this time around, though, with this recent flaming going on about the avatars it seems some DBBers have yet to grow up and deal with the guidelines set for this current board.

Sigs are for nerds. You guys should have seen the old GoldenEye 007 forums. People spamming the boards saying "check out my new sig!" And it was always something totally inane. It was so silly. So silly, in fact, that people had to make sig testing forums like here and other places. Stupid little keeeds
Sigs, as well as avatars are a representation of a persons individuality IMO. Posting multi-colored chat quotes or inappropriate material as well as other childish nonsensical stuff that require more then 3 lines of text are the most common abuses that I accept being a reason for turning them off.
There isn't anything wrong with ending a post with a small abbreviation of your callsign as well as perhaps a couple (2 max) links to website(s) you might have or a single colored quote of your own. This tends to be something that most BBers tend not to comply with though.
