Those doomsday preppers are your neighbors numbskull :P

EDIT: I grew up in a different time than you first off, so I have some comparative data also. I don't think people are any more or less violent than at any other time in history. Maybe more civilized, but take the civilization away and you will find the same violence as always. Besides that, people just used to be a lot nicer.

not near neighbors, as best as I know.....the most of them are nuttier than my grandma's fruitcake.

I'll agree that we've passed a certain era of public civility, and that man is an inherently violent creature.

I think that line you speak of exists for everyone because no one is really qualified or responsible to live your life but you, and I think all too often people aren't wise enough to take this into consideration in their communications and relationships (myself included--it's a constant learning process for me so far). On the one hand a man needs to know what's right himself, and let another man know when what he's done/doing is not right (or moral), but I think we could all learn to do it without crossing that line and in effect trying to pry a person's right/responsibility to self-determination away from them.

I'll be honest, I think I've personally focused so much on the "what's right" part that I've missed this most of my life. It's refreshing when you meet someone who gets it, though, because they can level a serious criticism at you without making you feel like you've been cornered and need to fight your way free.

Those are the ones I fear most though. The ones who have not considered worst-case scenario's. Those are the ones who are gonna be nutty as hell, the preppers will probably feel some kind of satisfaction. Again, I;m not stupid enough to think this world is not gonna be without catastrophe and the way it's interlinking, well that's another ripple to talk about, but I don't worry about it. I don't stock up on stuff, I don't stockpile weapons and ammo. I figure if it goes down like that I'll just pry the gun out of someones cold, dead hand :P.

You don't have to be the fastest runner. Just run faster than the prepper who stops to launch a crossbow bolt at the Homeland Security jeep.....

Oh, and by the way, Krom. The winner is not the one who has a lot of gold. He may win, but temporarily. In the end, wins the one who stands behind the truth and justice.

This is America man, the way Krom wrote it is correct. Truth and justice are only as important as what lawyer you can afford.

Public defender = maximum federal prison sentence
$250 an hour = Suspended sentence and probation

I did not mean an individual in respect of whom the unjust sentence. Of course, an honest beggar much easier to blame a crime he did not commit than rich freak who is mired deep in crimes. It happens too often and everywhere, unfortunately. I mean the people's anger. People's Truth is always much more fair and merciless in its rightness.
