I'd be pumped to see it if it results in the series being continued.

It's so cool to share the site with my friends who ask repetitive questions. Google saved my butt for many times.

I didn't search for Descent for Wii because I'm not interested in gaming consoles.

Last time I asked, I got the dumb letmegoogle reply, and if you try a google search you can't find any posts on this news that happened after april-ish. All I see is \"fall 2010\" spattering the screen. Does anyone know a reliable place to look so I'll know when it will be released? I don't really do much on my Wii, but this is something I'd be quite interested in getting.

Do not click the link in tueidj's post... It has a virus.

Kaspersky warned me.

Lol, I had already clicked it, but it wasn't a virus. It was just a video of some gameplay of the first level of Descent.

The video could have a virus on it... even if the poster doesn't know. (Sad but true.)

Who needs D2 for wii when we have D2 Rebirth and a 25 slot mumble server up in Chicago and UDP??

Playing almost every night in The Rangers.

And we're making movies of it: http://www.Descent-Rangers.net/koolzook.php

We've got great skybox footage too - Fun city!

:D

Not everyone lives close enough to Chicago to play without high pings/constant disconnects. Also, I don't think the Wii version will need a paid subscription to something like Kali (which people who are currently paying for school like myself can't afford).
I actually prefer D3 for multiplayer and D1/2 (both rebirth and XL) for singleplayer. I think D2 especially had the best artwork style for the robots (not as \"humanoid\" as in D1 or D3).

Kali is a one time fee that covers you for life, it is not a subscription. It used to be $20, but now it is $10. So it costs $10 one time to be able to use it forever.

I don't understand your post. It maketh no sense. Our mumble (voice server) is in Chicago. We play UDP so we do not use Kali, and we are getting 30-60 pings for all players...and it is free.

How do you know I can even spare $10? Besides doing it on LAN is fun enough, I made an enourmous robo-anarchy set (the one thing D3 is missing) that I play against my brother and a friend. Some of the levels use the standard D2 robots, others use the ones from TEW or Project Mandrill.

@Swazook: sorry, bad assumptions on my part. I haven't been able to get UDP working in any Descent except for LANs, but like I said I prefer D3 multi anyway.

My AVP said the site has a phishing link.

I'm not sure because I'm new to it.

That link was just a plain mkv file... of level 1 being played on the wii homebrew port of Descent that I've been working on, just like the description in my post.

I bet the game will be too hard to play with Wii controllers.
