My desktop changes regularly.... not on a schedule, but I have a script to randomly pick from database.
Deviantart- that's a whole ton of crap on it, and a few good images here and there. If you pick through it, you can find some gems.
Thanks, My only interest is abstract astronomy. I'll poke around that site when I have some time.

Try art of greg martin. A lot of his early stuff used to be abstract astronomy. I don't know if it's accessible for download anymore... if not, let me know.

Umh, I'm not a boy, i'm an adult and I know what is real and what is not.
But that cartoon is a drawing and depiction with human-like charateristics, and so yeah, she (as the character) has a depiction of breasts, so she has breasts, maybe ficticious, but she has them.
It is also like a painting. You can see a painting of an artistic woman made by renoir, and you could say 'oh, she has a nice blue dress' and it's prefectly right,
Unless you would want to say: "hey that's not a dress, it's a bunch of oily paints with blue chroma and it's technically what I should call a two dimensional painting. There's not even a girl on there at all" and that's being WAY too picky.
Nah, anyway, it's nice to have some discussion like this from time to time

Oh, you're right, you didn't said I was a boy but it was implicit, i'm sure about that.
And now, you got a point: 'A painting of a dress'. Not bad.
Ah, the DBB would not be the DBB without this kind of discussions. Just for that you deserve an octopi:

Anyway, I thought I'd show off my terminal. I think I like this theme and font better than any other I've had, which includes transparent glass looking terminals.

Courier 10 Pitch is one of my favorite fonts and it looks great in the terminal. I got rid of the scroll bar and file/menu stuff because I never need them. I matched the color of the terminal body with the bottom of the "window border" so it looks like one seamless piece. Fyi, if I'm in a dark room I just invert colors with compiz, like any other window can. Or I just ctrl+alt+Fkey out of the desktop...

get 3x 30" EIZO's Bubba
then you have 3x 2560 x 1600
also smaller bezels, that remains a major disadvantage, them damn bezels, what would be nicest would be a 3 in one screen without the bezels, that resulting a perfect overview.

i like it that way, makes the Sys Tray not too long and wider. just a personal opinion i guess..... i like to have all my icons viewable and not hidden. so i dbl size the task bar height wise into two rows, and it just works out that way

no i am not a Marine, but a big portion of my family is. my late father is a Marine, both my grandfathers are Marines and one of my great grandfathers is a Marine. i wanted to join so bad but my situation at the time deprived me of that privilege. needless to say, i already have 1 tat that has my fathers initials and USMC on my left shoulder and the desktop image is going on my right shoulder or my back. i think of it as a Honor thing for what my family members did for this country, and also that my father passed 3 years ago, about a week later after that i got the first tat in his honor.

I got that "HTC Home" gadget here:
http://www.htchome.org/en/
By the way, it can be installed on Windows XP in addition to the Windows 7 and Vista that it was designed for. I installed it on my wife's computer without getting her permission first ... then asked her a couple days later if I should remove it. She
demanded that I leave it on her system.

This is the best space photoshop image I've ever seen. Simple, ambient, and perfect. Just looking at it makes me feel better. Definitely what I want as a wallpaper image.

Well, you all download yours, I tend to make mine.
There are two ways i do this:
1) Bender
2) cover the image in icons...
As you can see my desktop is messy
And yet if you asked what any of the files are I could tell you what it is and how it got there. It's organized for me!
If you are following my game project you may recognize some of the files.

I've gone back to one of my favorite wallpapers and added some red to my giant "home folder" desktop icon. (Windows user: a "home folder" is like "my documents" in linux)
edit: Also, the task bar, which normally is hidden, is brought up to show a bit of the theme I'm using. It's also 42px high for great visibility.
