There is a reason to get religious. :)

CDN_Merlin, I absolutely LOVE poutine!!! I had plenty of it when I went to Montreal on two seperate occasions. I can't wait to have some more. You can't get that stuff down here.

They were even able to deliver poutine to our hotel room at 4:30am in the morning. That is awesome. :)

Out of morbid curiosity, what in the name of all that is good and holy is poutine?

it's amazing how much onions can look like worms in the wrong lighting conditions.

top gun: its what you see above. it's great.

Most places that I got it started off with a layer of fries (possibly seasoned) in a bowl. Then they add cheese curds, gravy, meat (maybe steak, chicken), onions, and perhaps some other vegetables. Some just put fries, cheese curds and gravy on it though. It is all awesome. My friend has had peas in her chicken poutine before..

Was that picture taken before or after it was eaten?

index_html, that picture was taken before. I do not take pictures after food I eat has been digested

Americanized asian food (stir-fry, etc.) -- not the authentic stuff, but the watered down version.

Good ol' American food like steak-and-potatoes, hamburgers, etc.

I also make some pretty good fried potatoes...
That's me to a tee......especially pizza

Ah hahahaha

May not look like much, but it's got it where it counts. :) My grandmother was born and raised in Nova Scotia. She makes awesome poutine.

I mean... well, there's real asian food made by real asian people... and then there's McAsian food, like you get at your average mall food court. I don't like the real asian food -- I like the food court variety. The levels of spice are very different.
I see where you're coming from now. My famialy is the same way they can't not handle the food I eat.

Give me a damn cucumber sandwich and I'm happy. 8)

As for the actual question, I'll take American-Chinese (but I'll also go for more "real" Chinese/Japanese on occasion, it's good for something different :)), and Mexican (Tex-Mex isn't all bad, and sometimes you get in the mood for the watered-down stuff). Then of course your good old-fashioned pizza/burgers/whatever else you can get from a fast food joint. (Good fast food = La Salsa. Black bean and cheese burritos, yummy!)
