I just started looking for D1 & D2 levels recently. A long time ago, I used Detlef32 to get levels, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any alternative or better methods for finding and downloading levels.

Take care everyone.

You can also ask around in Kali, or ask people to post/offer zips of their level directories.

If you want quantity, you can get single file collections at the following sites:

D1 and D2 Levels at Pooterman's:
http://www.pooterman.com/

PlanetDescent:
D1: http://www.planetdescent.com/site/files ... /packs.asp
D2: http://www.planetdescent.com/site/files ... /packs.asp

KoolBear's Site also has links to a large number of levels on a single page:
D1: http://www.koolbear.com/cgi-bin/dl/dirw ... /levels/d1
D2: http://www.koolbear.com/cgi-bin/dl/dirw ... /levels/d2

The Descent Archives has an extensive collection of D1 levels:

If you want quality, you might consider the following:

Diedel's Site has some reviews/ratings and levels for D2X-XL:
