Had to share this particular little tidbit - it's from the CES currently on in Las Vegas. It's a combination light projector and touch screen device that can project onto any surface.
Looks promising, my only issue would be the latency response times. It looked relatively sufficient for scrolling & viewing, but can it handle typing 60wpm? Once this technology becomes more advanced I will be happy to jump on the band wagon. Touch screen interface technology like shown in Minority Report is what I'm looking to use for everyday technology use.
Devices like this ignore just how important tactile feedback is, it will only ever be a niche product because of its practical limitations. They are marketing to OEMs because they know that it would never sell otherwise.

This is actually "old" technology. It's been around in a different app for about .. oh 5 years or so? It's just now they slapped "bluetooth" on it and it's all shiny.
btw, that page has a script error that locks my browser.
