If my hubby left the guy for me to watch, I might of been tempted to beat the crap out of him first just for picking my house to burgle in the first place, then I would've called the police. More satisfying. If I'd actually caught him in the act instead of my hubby, my attitude would've been shoot first, ask questions later, because I would've approached him armed and really pissed off.

Not very bright of an idea to create an easy to access and hidden-from-the-outside-view way to break into one's bedroom either. Maybe he wanted someone to break into the bedroom, or happen to catch fire with no way to escape.
