I love April fools online. I'll be appending this list as I find more funny things people have posted.
  1. Fake product by corsair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv5bZXauR2M
    • Corsair shows a "new" mechanical mouse for gamers.
  2. Google Fiber's new Dial-up mode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTTtkisylQw
  3. Microsoft is announcing it's first Linux distro http://itsfoss.com/microsoft-announces-linux-os/
  4. Peas on the cob, by Bird's Eye Australia: http://i.imgur.com/sU2SShx.png
  5. IT Company posted webcams around their office to view their productive staff http://cam.birchenallhowden.co.uk/
  6. CERN researchers confirm existence of the Force http://home.web.cern.ch/about/updates/2 ... ence-force
  7. https://com.google/ yzarc gnikaerf si sihT
  8. Petbox by Redbox: http://i.imgur.com/JaOzHKA.jpg
  9. Bandland has been ported to the old Nokia: http://i.imgur.com/cT0GDcD.png
  10. Play Pac-Man in google maps: https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6178227?hl=en
  11. Google panda... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI9Qb4PuiOU
    • wtf...
  12. NASA's space cow: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap150401.html
  13. Reddit's /r/THEBUTTON is nuts https://www.reddit.com/r/thebutton/
    • All the admins did was make a sub with a single button with a counter that counts down to 60, which gets reset whenver any user pushes their button. Everyone looks at the same counter. We assume once the counter reaches 0 no one will be able to press it again. However, it seems to be getting slammed by thousands of people pushing it at once so it's stuck around 59 to 60. The admins wont tell us what the effects will be to the individual users, leading to large conspiracy theories and strategies around the button. "Do we push it?" "Do we wait until the counter is lower, then push it?" "Do we get rewarded for not pushing it?" The one thing that everyone says is they regret pushing the button once they have pushed it, because they cannot push it again.
    • LIttle tutorial on how to push the button:
  14. Gentoo website update: https://www.gentoo.org/news/2015/03/31/ ... pdate.html
    • Warning: takes a moment to load, but looks cool, like a EULA page or blue screen of death on Windows XP, sorta
  15. OMG! Ubuntu's desktop environment crashes and falls back to the TTY: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/bash/

EVE Online's forums have a "beta" feature that turns the forums into Asteroids, where you can blow up the HTML.

If any admins are reading this, I think a great April 1st joke for this forum would be to switch all of our usernames and avatars, as they appear in the threads, with each other. So, for example, TC's comments would all appear to be by CUDA and Krom's comments would all appear to be from someone else and so on..
