Create a 256x256 grayscale PCX file. White is highest, black is lowest. Import this into D3Edit.

Complicated? Yeah, we know. :|

Nope, it can only be done through importing a PCX file. One of the biggest limitations of D3Edit.

And UnrealEd.

Last I knew, that one also relied on PCX import and export to change elevations. :)

How do you punch holes in terrain again?
I haven't used D3edit in a while and forgot a lot of stuff.

Alt-click to select the terrain cell, then click the "toggle vis" button in the terrain toolbar (TR button).

On a side note, reviving old threads doesn't score points with mods. :)
