Yeah that turkey puts you straight to sleep. IIRC it contains 22 times the amount found in chicken!

Happy Thanksgiving turkeys!

My mom's work always gives her a turkey for Thanksgiving. This year she got a 33lb bird! I swear you could have painted that bird green and sent it rampaging thru the streets of Tokyo!

Oh, and it was Delicious! We have leftovers for at least a week... Turkey sandwiches, turkey pot pie, turkey a-la-king Mmmmm! :)

It was rather dry. We're not buying that brand anymore. (whatever it was) Anyway, there weren't any leftovers either. Somehow it ended up neglected and Hey! what do ya know. One of my dogs was up on our table eating some of the turkey. Not much of a loss fortunately.

My meal was:

Turkey
Ham
Salad
Tubuli
Meat pies
Cranberry sauce
Candy yams
Ambrosia (not the shizzy American ambrosia, the real homemade stuff)
Broccoli Casserole

For dessert
Pumpkin pie
Cheesecake
Flan

^ all of the above homemade.

LOL. I had almost as much fun. I drove nearly 14 hours to Washington state that day and ate nothing but Cheez-its and trail mix. :D

"Orderbs"?! LOL!! :D

To further elaborate, I got sick Thursday morning. I had apparently gotten food poisoning at a part Wednesday night, and when I woke up at 5 to get in the car to go down to Maryland I felt awful. I didn't even shower. I went to sleep as soon as we got in the car, but woke up suddenly just as we got over the Goethals Bridge. I warned my dad to pull over to the shoulder fast, opened the car door, and let loose onto the pavement below. Nice bits of chicken marsala lay floating in the barf stew on the ground. We got some Pepto-Bismol on the Jersey Turnpike and I took them. I was out the rest of the ride. When we got to my uncle's house to drop off my grandmother, I reclined the seat all the way flat and rode to my mom's house in a makeshift bed. I felt good enough at about 9:30 to go over to my aunt's party (which I had missed) until around 11.

I came back from Maryland yesterday. Only today do I not feel sick. Happy Thanksgiving to me.
