Check it out -- http://www.pdxlan.net

It's a big one, 1000 seats. Wondering who might be interested going there -- I can drag a server up and we could set up a small D3 section :)

Portland Expo Center, huh... Just 5-10 min from my house, can't get any closer. :D 8) Sounds possible for me, could bike to and from there for sleep and meals. I'm certainly interested. Come PDX Metro area Pilots, let's get into this.

So, before I commit myself to this, (requesting vacation hours and registrating), are we gonna be able to get a D3 section going? I would like to go, but the primary game I keep seeing mentioned at their site, Unreal Tournament, I don't own, nor am about to get. Now if there were a D3 and/or Halo server in the mix, I certainly would request hours and register in a heartbeat.

...and so the BC Caravan ought to plan and book it's ridership for this Descent gig..! ... Help buy the gas and I'll Drive !.. Leaving from White Rock BC which is within sight of the BC-US Border...

To make the 10 hour drive just fly by, The Caravan is now equipped with 4 new JBL speakers, and new stereo, ... Ferno ..? and any other of us north of the 49 th ? .. ..? get your passports ready ! Are there any other car poolers along the I5 who want a ride ? ?..

Grendel, ... you ought to not be the sole supplier of a server, ... can any of the rest of us help ..? The Caravan can carry gear too, plus the server op(s). .. .. . Time still to plan ...

... and, yes Fusion ! I say we muster a dedi' D3 "section"... four tables or more !.. and rig up a set of servers... ! and hook up a 42 inch TV monitor for the audience ground pounders to get stunned by vertigo from someone flying in observer mode...

LOLOLOLOLOL!!  Ka Bong, you crack me up. What are the odds of having a 42"in monitor there making those poor people losing their Lunches whatching us do our 6 DOF?? I just know that there have to be more D3 pilots in the PNW... US or Canada. I know we have [SQN]'s, [VON]'s and other team and non team affiliated D3 pilots in this neck of the world. To those Pilots I say "Come outta the proverbial woodwork, and lets show them a good game of D3!"

PS. Pardon the enthusiasm, couldn't help it after reading Ka Bong's post.

oh nuts, now I have to decide bewteen this and QuakeCon... I'm in Hillsboro.. Why'd they make them the same days?!? :x  Well, at least it'd be cheaper... Any recommendations? I don't wanna miss out on some good D3, but I hear QC is a hell of a thing to miss too.

And on the subject of lunch loss, would there be any shaker games on that 42" plasma? I'm a god of shakers, virtually indestructable. Still need a new stick though.

I heard alot of "Heard of D3, never played it tho" at the LAN. :( Only time Gren and I had an audiance was for a few minutes when he and I were doing Falling Down in CTF mode. This Lan is mainly a dedi Groundpounder event. Altho I have done a little GP games (Halo and Starcraft), I felt like the proverbial "odd man out" w/no Grendel on Thurs, most of Fri, and Sunday.
I have heard some in the D3 community think that "D3 is dead". Let's show them that D3 is still alive and kicking. If we wanna try and do a Dedi D3 section, we are gonna need as many of you local pilots (and any non local pilots) to commit to coming. Just in the OR/WA/Canada area of the PNW, I can think of (including myself) at least a dozen D3 pilots that I know of. I am not planning on going to this if it is just me again.

Call this post a challenge if you will. Any takers?
