Big bad boss robot

Why can't you see the cloaked boss robot when he moves around. With other robots I can flare them and see them but with the other one I can't.

Which Boss? Which Descent?
D2 level 4? Not sure, although he can be seen if you watch when he shoots at you.
*hint* don't use energy weapons.

It is in Descent 1 Destination Saturn, level 15.
That boss seems to not be able to hit when cloaked and moving with flares.
It also does not move when uncloaked. Why?

Cause that's the way he was designed?
Cloaking on boss robots operates differently from cloaking on your ship or other robots. Boss robot cloaking is akin to a teleport. They phase in and out of the room, warping from one point to another.
