Who labelled this thing??!!

Here's something I noticed on a bottle of Tropicana orange juice.

The label says 100% pure orange juice. Right next to this, it says 100% vitamin C (I understand their meaning, but they could've worded this better). Under it, it says "from concentrate, with other ingredients."

Kinda makes you wonder what those "other ingredients" might be in your "100% pure orange juice." :P:lol::roll:

heh, yeah. for me it was the %100 juice that on the ingredients showed that it had preservatives in it (since everything does). i was all "what percentage outof this so-called 100% is preservatives?".

i'm very serious about my juice ;). it's gotta have no added sugar*, no colour, no flavour. the colour/flavour thing is kindof recent since i've noticed the flavours they put in it gunk me up.

do you realise how hard it is to get juice with no added flavours in it these days? amazingly hard.

the best orange juice is the bottled fresh stuff that still has the pith in it. mmmmmm.

*it used to be because of the diabeties, but now it's because i don't like the taste of juice with sugar in it. after knowning the difference, you can REALLY taste cane sugar in juice, it's a distinctive white-sugar taste.

most tropicana is not from concentrate and really doesn't have anything added to it.

I can't stand Tropicana myself; I think it tastes like grapefruit juice. :P My favorites are Minute Maid (especially the tangerine flavor) and Florida's Natural. And keep that pulp out of it; I'm trying to drink my juice, not chew it. :P

I drink Publix (local grocery) orange juice, 100% natural from concentrate, no sugar or preservatives added. That citric acid gets my motor crankin' in the morning.

You have just described water. Oh, and most American beers.

I just bought some Dos Equis, Mexican variety pack with four different beer six packs, including the Amber variety. I actually liked them. Alot. Alot better than Bud or Coors or MGD. So Dedman is right.

You mean like how you skimmed Lobber's post and didn't realize that his commentary matched Dedman's? He bought some non-American beer, and found it to be "alot better than" American beers. And, as Dedman said, "no flavo(u)r" is a good description of most American beers.

The intent of this thread was more to point out funny things you've noticed on product labels. Like the "100% Juice" with "added ingredients". Poor wording, inconsistencies, etc.

And yes, the stuff does taste somewhat like grapefruit juice, and yes, I hate grapefruit and juice.
