"necropost" means "to post in a topic which has been inactive for a long time".

Basically... when you want to respond to something, look at the date of the very last post in the thread. If it's less than 2 weeks ago, it's OK to post. If it's more than 2 weeks ago, you better have a darn good reason to post.
