yeah yeah yeah, you know the deal pun......for some strange reason my D3 kept locking up at random intervals and would recover only to a very nasty effect.

thought it was hardware, so i stripped out my PC....that didnt fix it. even when i was showing Zach the editing tools, and the GAM Tool, when i launched D3 in SP mode, it still locked up at random intervals and took about 3-5 seconds to recover.

what i didnt, and still dont understand is, why was it just D3, and nothing else? FS2k4 worked just fine, as many noticed, several other apps i ran worked just fine.

I agree, and given that that is the whole point of the endgame...It's tough to justify that kind of time investment, unless you're having fun. In my case, I'll probably do said instance runs, but if my woman didn't play I wouldn't be interested at all.

At the moment, I'm actually on 'sabbatical' from WoW (on a Descent 3 kick), but I WILL probably hit max Level on my Warrior...eventually. First I have to figure out his talents again, they restructured & refunded all talents and I don't feel like figuring out what's what right now. I also think I'm gonna get my shaman to level 38 or so for Warsong, and just hang out there for a while.

Oh it's not that I didn't have fun. I just literally dont have time.

A more realistic scenario would be an hour or two of D3, CSS or BF2 a few times a week.

The only commercial PC games I have on my computer are Descent 2 & 3.
FPS games always let me down in the mobility and reaction of your controlled character. Roll, dufus! Dodge!
It's awful.
Descent offers far more mobility. I love it!

I'm back too, started back about a week ago. Still more fun than any other FPS I've played. Last FPS I bought was doom 3, got bored and quit 3/4 of the way through.

I'm seeing alot of the same names from last time I was playing, I wonder how many have been playing straight through. I know bettina is much improved from a year ago.
